Krista Zeissig-Tucci

Krista Zeissig-Tucci is a percussionist with a lot of band, stage and performance experience. She has been playing for dancers, dance courses, and performance groups since 1982. In 1992 she successfully completed Dudu Tucci's percussion school "Raizes do Brasil". Since then she has been working with him in his percussion projects, for example at concerts in Korea, at the EXPO 1992, in Taiwan and also in Salvador da Bahia - at the international percussion festival "Perc Pan" 1993 beside musicians like Los Papines, Nana Vasconcelos, Carlinhos Brown, Trilok Gurto and the group Olodum.

Together with Murah Soares, Krista founded the project "Afoxé Loni", a percussion and dance group that opened the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin for 14 years.

For this project Dudu Tucci recorded a CD:
Afoxé Loni - Drums of Peace.

Since 1997 Krista has been in charge of the project "Raizes do Brasil" an advanced training in Brazilian percussion led by Dudu Tucci.
